Our long-term ambition is to be a business that has an overall positive impact on society by 2030. BAM FM’s Net positive approach will be achieved by focusing on three key areas, helping us to move towards doing ‘more good’.

Sustainable Facilities Management Index (SFMI)

For the fourth year running, BAM FM has received the Gold Award at the Sustainable Facilities Management Index (SFMI) E-Awards. The only annual sustainability benchmark for the UK FM sector.

BAM FM also received a special recognition from SFMI for our work with our supply chain partner Whitecroft to develop a circular approach to lighting.

Promoting the Real Living Wage

We believe that all workers have the right to a living wage.  That's why we have taken the lead in working with our customers to actively promote the Real Living Wage. As a result, we are now a Living Wage Foundation, Recognised Service Provider (RSP).

“At BAM FM we are committed to paying the Living Wage to demonstrate how much we value our people. We will help by promoting the LWF to our clients and supply chain to support the eradication of poverty in our society”. Abbe Pickthall, Managing Director.

Resource Positive

Working with BAM Construction we aim to eliminate waste over the lifecycle of facilities by the way we design, build and operate.  We seek to preserve material and resources, and deliver our services using safe, healthy and natural material when we are able.

BAM FM are seeking to eliminate wasteful products and services and promote reuse and the circular economy. To achieve this we will use products and materials that are easily maintainable, reused or repurposed to avoid low grade recycling. We will also procure materials form certified responsible sources wherever possible.
