Digitally supported integrated facilities management

Delivery of the IFM is supported using our digital tools which are underpinned by our CAFM system. This gives us real time data for use by our onsite and mobile engineers via smart phone apps. By using the tools, we can increase performance, innovation, and value for money, whilst also generating information that can be used to facilitate data driven maintenance decisions.

The digital tools also give our teams access to asset information and job tasks in real time. This cuts downtime, minimises disruption and speeds up the time it takes to complete tasks. It also ensures we are meeting KPI such as carrying out works within agreed timescales.

A lifecycle approach

BAM FM are responsible for the lifecycle management of the school buildings and grounds, including the fabric, fixtures, fittings, and equipment. We undertake regular condition surveys and provide our clients with annual and five-year forward maintenance plans.

M&E

We have a dedicated on-site engineering team, supported by multiskilled mobile engineers, who provide PPM, reactive and fabric maintenance services underpinned by our 24/7 Helpdesk.

Catering

At the start of the contract BAM TUPE transferred 16 catering staff to deliver onsite catering. Our team provide breakfasts and break/lunch meals to over 2000 students, which are compliant with the School Food Standards to ensure nutritional standards are maintained and labelling requirements are met.

Cleaning

Cleaning is undertaken by our team of BICSc certified cleaners, who provide cost effective and environmental cleaning solutions. They use eco-friendly and energy saving products such as dosage systems, dry fusion carpet cleaning, iMops and robotic vacuums.

“I have worked closely with BAM FM since moving into our new building in October 2012. I have always found the staff, at all levels, to be highly responsive, with an understanding of what makes a school ‘tick’. They supply a full FM service here and the quality of that service is excellent. Their systems and processes are second to none, and the quality of the overall package they provide lifts a great weight from my shoulders. I would thoroughly recommend them.”
