The two brand new buildings will be the only new buildings developed in West Swindon this year after a record year in the uptake of office space in 2007.
HBG Properties’ Director Martin Hill expressed his delight at the progress of the development.
‘Lydiard Fields will be two offices of three storeys, of 26,350 and 35,570 net sq ft. HBG started development in February this year. This is larger than the first phase of our development and will appeal to major occupiers.
‘The market is quieter and when that happens potential occupiers look around for offices with the best location and environmental credentials. That’s why Lydiard Fields will be so attractive. Our own designers, HBG Design, ‘future proof’ all our buildings to ensure they remain ahead of environmental regulations and highly energy efficient.’
Known for being an extremely active developer, HBG purchased the site in May 2004 and completed the first phase of Lydiard Field in October 2005. It has let the first two buildings (Canberra House and Kingston House) to various occupiers including JP Morgan.
