BAM Construct UK has launched its sponsorship of the UK’s Digital Construction Week (October 26-27) by sharing a virtual tour of the massive King’s Cross regeneration through virtual reality. The conference is being held at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Using oculus rift and hololens viewers, and specially created holograms, visitors to the BAM stand (M26) will gain an insight into work at the 64-acre site. BAM has also devised a way to view the experience remotely via your smartphone (details below).

Four BAM speakers will be giving presentations throughout the two days.

Andrew Pryke, Managing Director, BAM Design will be giving the keynote speech, which will explore the impact advances in robotics, artificial intelligence, gaming and software, will have on the construction industry and built environment.

Mark Taylor the Digital Construction Manager is discussing implementing digital construction, and creating lean workflow.
Royal BAM Group’s Director of Sustainability Nitesh Magdani is talking about innovation and technology for the sustainability panel, and Reid Cunningham from BAM FM is discussing the future of manufacturing. (See notes for details of presentation times.)
“The latest technology is helping our clients get the best experience of what the construction industry can offer them, including how they can use virtual reality to unlock new opportunities. Visitors to our stand will get to experience this for themselves. Digital methods are of ever growing significance to how we do business and we are determined to remain at the forefront of intelligent design and construction techniques.”
