BAM FM achieves gold for a fifth time at SFMI Annual FM Awards, while also scooping the coveted Rising Star Award.

BAM FM has demonstrated that we are making real progress on our sustainability journey by maintaining our Gold Level status for the fifth year running at the Sustainable FM Index Annual FM Awards.

BAM FM was also awarded the Rising Star Award for improving in every area measured by the index, including its commitment to investing in sustainability and going the extra mile to understand their customers sustainability requirements.

Anthony Heaton, Sustainability Manager, BAM FM

“2021 has been a year of challenges and discovery for BAM. Almost two years after Covid-19 emerged, facilities management’s role has shifted from crisis mode to strategic planning. This has been driven by key events such as COP 26, the release of mandatory emissions reporting frameworks and a continued focus on local communities, small business and Social Value. I think we will look back at 2021 as a springboard for FM to become a sustainability focused industry, where lifecycle, carbon and social value are increasingly seen as the driving forces.

Anthony Heaton

Sustainability Manager, BAM FM

In 2022 we will continue to develop our energy solutions maximizing our ability to offer low carbon services to our clients, whilst helping to reduce their emissions through solutions such as on site generation, EV infrastructure and wider scope 3 reductions. We will also be focusing on how Procurement and finance can support further improvements by creating opportunities for VCSE & SMEs, calculating the Local economic impacts of sites and developing new Circular solutions.

It’s such an exciting time. Our renewed focus on scope 3 emissions, combined with our Rising star accreditation and improved Gold position just reinforces our position as a leading sustainable provider of FM services.“
