BAM Properties has let the second half of its Swindon development known as Lydiard Fields.

Martin Hill, BAM Properties’ Development Director said, “I am pleased to say that we have just exchanged contracts for letting of Washington House to Openwork Holdings Ltd. It shows once again that BAM’s high quality sustainable approach to development attracts important occupiers and helps to boost the local economy.  The letting confirms that with an improving economic climate there is a strengthening in occupier confidence evident not just in Swindon, but nationally.”

Openwork is the largest multi-tie mortgage and financial advice network in the UK. It will now occupy Washington House, an impressive 26,853 sq ft building, which achieved a 'Very Good' environmental rating under the BREEAM assessment. The letting is at a rate of £17.50 per sq ft.

Prominently located adjacent to the M4 motorway, Lydiard Fields includes two headquarters office buildings. The earlier building, known as Auckland House, was taken by RWEN Power Renewables and JP Morgan occupy Canberra House.

Agents for the scheme are Keningtons and GVA.
