4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript
5. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box
6. Check the boxes that you want to allow
7. Click OK

BAM Plant's primary functions are to provide BAM Construction with:

Plant ownership includes the full spectrum of mechanical and non-mechanical equipment. Particular emphasis is placed on the ownership of accommodation units that incorporate the highest level of energy-saving initiatives and are compliant with fire resistance codes of practice.

Services provided include scaffold supply and installation, steelwork fabrication and installation, temporary electrical services and energy monitoring.

Plant ownership and services are constantly monitored with regard to new regulations, technology or BAM’s requirements.

Provide a resource for information on the suitability and availability of plant, equipment and services
Provide estimators with advice, prices and availability of plant equipment and services
Provide technical advice and assistance to sites
Provide single-point allocation and supply of plant, equipment and services
Provide effective cost control and monitoring information to management, sites and quantity surveyors
Provide monitoring of supplier’s prices and performance
Obtain national agreements and competitive prices for plant and services
Provide cost-effective control of bought ledger and site charging
Provide services and storage / refurbishment of equipment to BAM’s requirements
Provide company-owned equipment and services at a reduced rate
Continually improve on the above by using quality-assured procedures and systems

Managing Director, BAM Plant

Peter Canfer Peter started his career in construction as a trainee site engineer on major construction projects before moving into plant management. He joined BAM Plant as Managing Director in 1988.

During his 21 years with the company, Peter has been instrumental in developing a hugely effective, in-house plant company. Under Peter's leadership, BAM Plant supplies important expertise and a significant financial contribution to the business.

We provide an essential service to our businesses and we're committed to providing that service to the highest quality to ensure the smooth running and support of every project.
