Industrial placements

BAM provides opportunities for university students looking for a period of work experience as part of their degree courses. Placements are usually six to 12 months long.

You'll undertake a structured programme of experience that meets the requirements of your course and counts towards membership of a relevant professional body.

Clear objectives will be set and agreed with your line manager. This ensures that we understand your expectations and your needs to fulfill the sandwich element of your course. In turn, you'll understand your role during your time with us.

We'll hand you genuine responsibility right from the start, allowing you the freedom to find solutions to real problems, secure in the knowledge there is a strong framework of support and guidance behind you.

Final year support

For students who have completed a successful sandwich industrial placement, we will provide academic assistance for your final year at university. We want to give you the freedom to focus on the important task in hand of finishing your degree, secure in the knowledge that you have the support of a global organisation behind you.

Summer placement

Gain a real taste of life in construction outside the classroom.

BAM offers summer placements to students studying construction–related courses. You will work on real projects and make a meaningful contribution to the team you work with. At the same time, you'll be gaining invaluable skills from experts in their respective fields.

Scholarships

BAM partners with a select number of top–performing academic institutions throughout the UK to offer scholarships to undergraduates who are planning to study degree courses in construction management or quantity surveying.

The scholarship takes the form of a generous bursary for each academic year, as well as the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience during vacations and periods of industrial work placements as part of your degree course.
