An introduction to CSR

As a major construction and property services company, our activities have an impact on the environment and a wide cross-section of people. This includes our own team, the communities in which we operate, our customers and supply chain, the occupants of our buildings and broader society. BAM is committed to balancing the various concerns and demands of our stakeholders with our need to remain profitable and competitive.

Objectives and targets

BAM's CSR performance is driven by a number of key objectives and targets that all relate to specific aspects of the business. These objectives and targets have been established in line with the company's CSR policy and are used for internal and external benchmarking. By closely measuring and monitoring progress,we aim to cement our reputation as a responsible business.

CSR governance

A committee, which directs our overall strategy on corporate responsibility, oversees the company's CSR activities. The committee is chaired by Richard Bailey, the board–level representative, and meets quarterly to review our policies, activities and progress on CSR before reporting to the board.
