BAM in the UK

Royal BAM Group consists of 25 companies around the world with employees totalling 28,000. In addition to BAM Construct UK Ltd, there are two further companies operating in the UK – BAM Nuttall Ltd and BAM PPP Ltd.

BAM Nuttall Ltd

BAM Nuttall offers a full range of civil engineering activities through a network of regional offices. These are supplemented by specialist group companies and a geotechnical division, BAM Ritchies. In addition BAM Nuttall operates a Special Projects division, which manages the design, construction and commissioning of any major project where large, multi–disciplinary teams of engineers and staff are required. BAM Nuttall has also established a dedicated Infrastructure Maintenance facility, which handles complex road and rail schemes, often working in alliance with clients.

BAM Construction and BAM Design work in partnership with BAM Nuttall on projects that call for all our specialist expertise, such as King's Cross Central Eastern Goods Yard.

BAM PPP Ltd

BAM PPP is the investment arm of Royal BAM Group operating in the specialist field of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) to develop and deliver public sector projects that require private sector finance and investment.

BAM PPP has a team of around 50 people, in two UK offices, who work closely with colleagues in BAM Construct's design, construction and facilities management arms to deliver an integrated service covering the entire project lifecycle. BAM PPP, as the lead organisation, manages, finances and invests in PPP projects while the BAM Construct teams are responsible for design, construction, operation and maintenance.

BAM companies working together

Amongst other things, BAM PPP, together with BAM Construction, BAM Design and BAM FM, is actively pursuing opportunities in the Government's Building Schools for the Future programme, which will rebuild, remodel and refurbish all 3,500 secondary schools in England over the next 15 years or more.

BAM PPP's portfolio

In the UK, BAM PPP's portfolio includes eight school projects, two law and order projects and two healthcare projects. Our school projects comprise 35 individual schools providing places for 26,000 pupils.

Our portfolio outside the UK comprises 15 projects spanning the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Ireland in the education, health, law and order, road and rail sectors of the PPP market.
